Cased Polish Silver Grade Cross Of Merit Medal & Miniature

The Cross Of, Merit was established in 1923 to recognize service to the state.  It was awarded in ( 3 ) grades, Gold, Silver & Bronze.  The bronze grade did not have any enamel on the front.  All ( 3 ) classes were blank on the reverse,  for WW II Awards a "PRL" was added to the center.   Beautiful Silver Grade Medal with perfect enamel on both the full size medal and miniature.  The case lid is loose and the ( 2 ) front corners are separated, this can be easily repaired should the new owner decide to do so.    Very Good  /  Excellent -

( 2 ) Cased Sets Of Austrian Medals

This rather unique set of medals come in cases that are attributed in embossed gilded lettering to Ferdinand Gebhardt.  Each case has two duplicate medals,  one plausible explanation would be that one medal be worn daily and the other would be worn on more formal occasions, this could be but both sets have medals with equal wear ?   The cases are ≈ 12.0 cm by ≈ 10.0 cm.  The exterior of the cases are covered in brown leatherette, they are free from damage but do have a couple scuffs from age.  The interior fabric is white satin with a blue fitted velvet base, the fabric is also free from damage and the hinges, buttons, fabric stops and catches are rock solid and function perfectly.  Inside the cases the white satin is stamped with the shops name (STRIBERNY'S WAFFEN-u Militär-Effecten & the stores locations in WIEN and GEGRÜDET 1848 ).   The  medals ( The Campaign Medal For Denmark 1864 Yellow, White & Black Ribbon & The Crown Jubilee Medal 1898 Red Ribbon ) no longer have any gilding but they have very little wear and the ribbons are lightly soiled.  Great stuff here for Axis collectors or Military Medal Collectors in general.  Since they are attributed they would also have potential for a nice research project.    Very Good +

Scarce NSDAP 25 Year Enamel Midwifes Badge

This is a real hard badge to locate especially in good condition.  Some have told me it is the 15 year vs. the 25 year - so if you know please let me know.  The Bavarian Blue & White enamel was perfect until I dropped it at the SOS.  So now the enamel has some small chips from the 12 - 1 o'clock position.   The reverse pin, hinge and clasp are solid and functional and the clasp appears to have been re-soldered at one time.  The letters GES. GESCH. appear on the reverse.  The overall width is ≈ 3.5 cm.    Very Good +
