ADAC Cased Award Gold Grade

This badge is exactly the same as the one included in the ADAC group that Tom Johnson recently surfaced.  The same type of badge was among the awards and documents discovered by Tom with the previously unknown WW II Driving Club Dagger.  His had a matching stickpin, both are from the same manufacturer. A couple well read friends in the collecting community put it at late 20's or early 30's.  The inside of the case lid is maker marked Allgemeiner Deutscher Automobil - Club e. V. Sitz: München this is imprinted on gold colored satin.  The bottom of the brown leather covered case is marked E. FERD. WEIDMANN Metallwaremabrik FRANKFURUT a. M Sud.  The case has a couple scuffs to the leather but these are superficial.  The Badge itself is ≈ 45 mm wide and ≈ 55 mm tall with the eagles wing span measuring ≈ 50 mm.  The badge has a slight vaulting and is made from non magnetic material.  The mercury fired gilding  100% .  The pin, locking clasp and hinge are perfect.  A beautiful SCARCE driving club badge gold grade.    Mint -
