Hamburg Field Honor Badge
One of our favorite awards. The center has a raised soldier returning home with all his field gear except his rifle. The surrounding twisted and gilded Frame, Cross Arms and Gilded Swords have ≈ 95% of the original gilding present. All the enamel is perfect except for one hairline crack on the crosses 12 o'clock arm. The star burst has nice uniform patina and there is only superficial wear to the badges high spots. The pin, hinge and catch are 100% solid and functional. Overall height ≈ 6.4 cm and width of ≈ 5.2 cm. Nicely done maker marks are stamped on the reverse. This is a must for any serious medal collector, Excellent +
