 Legion Of Condor Spanish Gold Grade War Cross    ( Cruz De Glerra )

     This Gold Grade awards is of the second type and measure ≈  60mm across ( ≈ the size of a German Cross ).  These were awarded for "Outstanding Action & Fidelity."  Unlike the award above these were awarded from the Spanish Civil War 1939 through the Franco Regime.  These were not awarded to the Germans as was the Al Merito En Campana.  It was more of a civil award and as a result it does not have swords.  Please note in the photos, I shot them at an angle to decrease on reflection. The actual award is symmetrical.  The enamel is perfect and the medal looks as if it were never worn.    Mint -
