Veterans Association 25 Year Service Badge - Prussian
Veterans Association badges, reunion pins and faithful service awards can be a lot of fun to collect. They are very well made, come in endless sizes, shapes and configurations and most of all they are a super good value. Veterans badges like this Prussian Landwehr Association below have some fantastic enamel work as well. This particular badge has a 25 year device with the correct "safety pin" type attachment. Suspended from this is a shield with a finely enameled Hohenzollern Eagle. Attached to the shield is a double black and white ribbon with metal end tabs. The badge is marked on the reverse GES. GESCH. PREUSSISCHER LANDES KRIEGERVERBAND. Excellent-

Medallion For Outstanding Achievements In The Technical Branch Of The Air Force.
This award was instituted by Herman Göring. It is ≈ 75mm in diameter and is dull silver plated. The medallion has taken on a nice uniform patina. The obverse shows the head of "der dicke" himself. The translation on the front reads "The commander - in Chief of the Air Force, Reichsmarschall Göring" The reverse features the emblem of the Luftwaffe and the translation reads "For outstanding achievements in the technical branch of the Air Force." This is one large heavy award. The obverse shows slight wear on the high areas. The reverse has has a few spots where the plating has tiny bubbles and at the 9 o'clock position there is a small shinny area where a stick label had been placed, removed and the glue residue was removed. There could not have been too many of these awards as evidence by the small number displayed at shows. Excellent
