Pre 1945 Italian Flight Crew Members Badge

This badge is typical Italian flight crew members pre 1945 quality.  Grey in color,  the hinge, pin and clasp are all intact and functional.  There is a slight twist where the wreath meets the crown but the badge is free of cracks. Hard to find them this way.  Makes a nice addition to any Italian collection or as an accent piece in a MSVN Dagger display.  Excellent  -

Unique Austrian 1st Place Wrestlers Award With Neck Ribbon

If you tend to like medals, badges and awards for beauty, condition and workmanship this might be the one for you.  Full length red and white ribbon with the majority of gilded printing remaining and legible which reads  " Junior Meisterschaft v. Wien Im Ringen 1907 "  A large suspension clasp is attached to a bird with a wing span of ≈ 5.7 cm.  The ring in the birds claws has (2) makers marks.  Below the bird is a banner with 1907 hand engraved on the obverse and this also has (2) makers marks.  Proceeding down the award is a large dumbbell ≈ 6.1 cm in width it has (2)maker marks, from the shaft of the dumbbell is a another weight.  Then (2) Chains suspend an outstanding enameled and gilded Austrian Cross.  The 5 o'clock arm on the cross has one tiny hair line crack at the tip near the ball visible under magnification.  To give you a good idea of the size of this award it measures ≈ 19 cm from the 5 o'clock tip of the cross to the top of the large suspension ring.  The workmanship of the whole award is outstanding and in superb condition for being 99 years old.  The enameled cross width is ≈ 7 cm.  A medallion in the center of the cross has (2) gents engaged in wrestling hold this has (2) maker marks visible on the obverse and is hand engraved on the reverse indicating that it is 1st prize, junior competition, event and the date.  There are a lot of photos of this award on this page, most are thumbnails so click on the thumbnails to enlarge them, If a grey square appears in the lower right hand corner then you can enlarge it further.   I cannot make out the makers marks even under 10 X magnification the coin may be gold.      Excellent +
